My personal journey through healing from childhood trauma has reinforced the significance of these unspoken emotions. They often hold the key to understanding the deeper, unresolved layers of our psyche. Through our art, we seek to create a space where these buried sensations can surface, offering a path to reflection and healing—an invitation to explore the moments our bodies hold onto, awaiting release.

Our combined and individual creative practices embrace an exploration of raw, natural materials juxtaposed with carefully crafted structural elements. From plaster, concrete, and foraged rock pigment to clay, exotic and driftwood, hand-spun yarn, wool, leather, ground gemstones, iron, healing crystals, rust, and sand—our work is a study in contrasts and connections. Every piece is an experiment in layering, blending, and expanding our artistic language, constantly evolving through materials that carry the weight of their origins.

Together, we thrive on pushing creative boundaries. We constantly challenge uncertainty, sparking fresh ideas with every brainstorming session. Connor initiates the process by constructing canvases, meticulously stretching linen, wood, or metal to form the foundation. His sculptural approach extends into crafting unique wooden pieces, blending diverse materials and woodworking techniques. Taylor then brings her visionary eye to the canvas, imbuing it with texture, embroidery, and intricate layers of paint. Each painting finds its home in one of Connor’s custom frames, using various species of wood to enhance the finished work. Our partnership honors the individuality of each piece while creating a cohesive dialogue between form and function.

Connor provided me my first "safe space" and "home" - it’s this dedication to creating environments that support mental well-being that underpins every work of art we produce.

The team uses their trade name, visceral home, to avoid conforming: defying any singular artistic label. Constantly evolving, the duo pushes the boundaries of their craft by reimagining techniques, processes, and styles, never bound by convention. Beyond sculptural wall art and installations, they are now venturing into conceptual furniture design, with an anticipated collection launch slated for late 2024.
