This painting has been a labor of love, a creative journey spanned over 6 months. It transformed slowly and passionately, each stage a testament to the dedication and inspiration poured into it. We've hung her in her various stages, all beautiful in their own right. I picked her up and put her down, time and time again, besides fleeting inspiration and conceptual ideas. She has been through many stages; she has shifted and formed new personas. Each emergency blended seamlessly into the next, creating a tapestry of co-existing entities, much like the many versions that make up each of us.
She stood patient as I planted seeds, trimmed back her weeds, and watered her flowers. A multitude of entities co-existing within one another, unaware one day she will evolve into her final form. I envisioned her reaching a point where all her elements will harmonize, reaching a crescendo that pays homage to the dark and the light within. “hunter’s moon” represents a transformation and a bottomless understanding of the cycles of creation. Just as the moon waxes and wanes, so too does the creative process ebb and flow. Embodying strength and vulnerability; capturing the essence of the night, guiding the way for those who seek the light in darkness. Through this journey, I've come to appreciate the beauty of the process itself—the patience in letting go of control, the discernment in waiting for the right moment to bring forth a new idea, and the sheer enchantment in witnessing how each phase contributes to the whole. A reflection of all the experiences, emotions, and revelations that have shaped her along the way.
